강인남 교수는 한국과학기술원에서 화학을 전공하고 1997년에 박사학위를 취득했다. 졸업후 태광산업중앙연구소에 합류하여 섬유용 고분자 연구를 진행하였으며(1997-1999), 삼성종합기술원으로 옮겨서 organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs)와 organic field-effect transistors (OFETs)에 적용 가능한 유기반도체소재에 대한 연구를 진행하였다. 그리고 2005년에 가톨릭대학교로 이직하여 현재 화학과 정교수로 있다. 그의 주요 연구 관심 분야는 유기광전자소자에 적용 가능한 새로운 유기반도체 소재를 설계하고 합성하는 것으로, 현재 유기태양전지용 유기반도체소재 개발에 집중하고 있다.
Professor Kang In-Nam majored in chemistry at the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST), earning a doctorate degree in 1997. Afterwards, he joined the Taekwang Industrial Central Research Institute and conducted research on polymer fibers (1997-1999) before moving to Samsung. Subsequently, at the Samsung Advanced Institute of Technology (SAIT), he studied the synthesis of organic semiconducting materials for organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs) and organic field-effect transistors (OFETs). He then moved to The Catholic University of Korea in 2005, where he is currently a full professor in the Department of Chemistry. His main research interest is the design and synthesis of new organic semiconducting materials for various organic optoelectronic devices. At present, his research is focused on the development of organic semiconducting materials for organic solar cells.
